ORDER : Mr. R.Anandharaj, Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2. The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide adequate police protection for the celebration of Pongal festival to be held on 15.01.2016 and 16.01.2016 by the villagers of Thiruvudaiyarpatti village in the light of the order passed by the first respondent in his order in O.A.No.7 of 2008, dated 31.12.2010 and the order made by this Court in W.P.(MD).No.444 of 2014, dated 08.01.2014 and W.P.No.68 of 2015 dated 06.01.2015. 3. Today, when the Writ Petition is taken up for admission, Mr. R.Anandharaj, Government Advocate, on instructions from the respondents, would submit that as the last year celebration was conducted in a peaceful manner, the respondents have no objection for granting permission, subject to the condition that they will conduct the festival in a smooth manner. 4. Recording the said submission made, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to provide adequate police protection to celebrate the Pongal festival to be held on 15.01.2016 and 16.01.2016, by stipulating necessary and reasonable conditions. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
