JUDGMENT Mr. M.M.S. Bedi, J.: (Oral) - Petitioner seeks concession of regular bail in a case registered at the instance of Gurdeep Singh alleging that he was beaten up by Pargat Masih, Lovepreet and other unknown person who had taken out his double barrel gun and fired at the complainant. 2. It is contended by counsel for the petitioner that the complainant does not even suffer any gun shot injury nor any such injury is attributed to the petitioner. 3. Challan has already been presented and the trial is likely to take a long time, so no useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner in custody, who is behind the bars since 24.05.2016. 4. Taking into consideration the period of detention suffered by the petitioner, this petition is allowed. It is ordered that petitioner will be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
