JUDGMENT : DAYA CHAUDHARY, J. 1. The prayer in the present petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to update the Provident Fund Accounts of the petitioners and to supply them the Annual Statements in Form PF-2 showing the upto date amount along with interest as per Provident Fund Ledger in Form PF-1 maintained by respondent No.3-Nagar Council and to deposit the arrears of pay and D.A. instalments in their respective Municipal Provident Fund Accounts. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a legal notice was served upon the respondents on 03.05.2016 (Annexure P-2) but the same has not been considered and no action has been taken thereupon so far. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners would be satisfied, in case, the directions are issued by this Court to consider their legal notice. 3. In view of limited prayer of the petitioners and without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider the legal notice dated 03.05.2016 (Annexure P-2) and take necessary action thereupon in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this Order. 4. However, in case, the petitioners are found to be entitled for the relief sought for in the legal notice dated 03.05.2016, the same be granted to them within a period of four months thereafter and in case, they are not entitled for the relief claimed then a speaking order be passed. 5. The petitioners are at liberty to avail the appropriate remedy, if any adverse order is passed. 6. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
