JUDGMENT : Daya Chaudhary, J. 1. The grievance of the petitioner, in the present petition, is that his claim for grant of arrears of salary on his retrospective promotions as Senior Assistant and Superintendent Grade-II has been declined by stating that LPA is still pending as mentioned in the order dated 14.08.2013 (Annexure P-9). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the judgment of Single Bench in CWP No. 11389 of 2011 titled as Gulzar Singh vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 14.02.2013 squarely covers the case of the petitioner and LPA against the said judgment has also been dismissed on 18.07.2013, still the case of the petitioner has not been considered. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the directions may be issued to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in view of Gulzar Singh's case (Supra). 4. In the light of the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in view of Gulzar Singh's case (supra) as well as the decision passed in LPA No. 1255 of 2013 filed by State of Punjab, dismissing the appeal and that of judgment of learned Single Judge thereby upholding the verdict. The necessary exercise be done within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 5. In case, the petitioner is found to be entitled for the relief as sought for, the same shall be granted to him within a period of three months thereafter and in case, the petitioner is still aggrieved in any manner, he is at liberty to avail the appropriate remedy.
