JUDGMENT : Daya Chaudhary, J. 1. Learned State counsel submits that in view of para No.3 of the short reply dated 13.07.2016, the present writ petition has become infructuous as the claim of the petitioner is for quashing of termination order and reinstatement in service and he was reinstated in service. 2. The stand taken in para No.3 of the short reply is reproduced as under: - “xxx xxx xxx 3. That in compliance to the order dated 5-2-2016, it is verified that the order dated 13-4-2011 has been passed by the office of Inspector General of Police, Border, Amritsar vide which Ex.ASI(ORP) Parkash Singh No.1718/BTL was re-instated into service. As such, the instant writ petition filed by the petitioner has become infructuous.” 3. Keeping in view the stand taken in the short reply and the submission made by learned State counsel, nothing survives in the present writ petition and the same is dismissed as having become infructuous. 4. However, in case, the petitioner is still aggrieved, he is at liberty to avail the appropriate remedy.
