JUDGMENT : DAYA CHAUDHARY, J. 1. Prayer in the present writ petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner to provide employment on compassionate ground as husband of the petitioner, who was working as Constable on regular basis with the Punjab police, died on 13.09.2013. 2. Notice of motion was issued on 09.05.2016. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a detailed representation was made but no action has been taken so far. 4. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case direction is issued by this Court to decide representation dated 28.01.2016 (Annexure P2) within some stipulated period. 5. Keeping in view the limited prayer of the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 28.01.2016 (Annexure P2) and take necessary action in accordance with law within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case the petitioner is found to be entitled for appointment on compassionate grounds, as per policy of the State Government, the same be granted to the petitioner within a period of one month thereafter. 6. In case, the petitioner is aggrieved in any manner, she is at liberty to avail appropriate remedy, in accordance with law.
