ORDER : 1. This writ petition is filed challenging the order of the fourth respondent, namely, Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Sathankulam Taluk, Tuticorin District rejecting the request of the petitioner for grant of patta. 2. Needless to say that as against the said order, the petitioner is to file an appeal only before the Revenue Divisional Officer, who is the second respondent herein. Without doing so, the present writ petition filed cannot be entertained. 3. Therefore, this writ Petition is dismissed with a liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer/2nd respondent. If any such appeal is filed, the same shall be considered by the second respondent and orders shall be passed on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner in respect of the subject matter land for grant of patta, as it is for the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to go into the same and pass orders as stated supra. No costs.
