body2016
JUDGMENT : Daya Chaudhary, J. The grievance of the petitioners in the present writ petition is that they are working on the post of Sweepers for the last more than 10 years. An advertisement has been issued by the respondent-department for filling up the posts of Sweepers but no preference has been given to the candidates, who are already in service for the last many years. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have applied but neither any criteria has been reflected in the advertisement nor any communication is there. The petitioners are to be given some preference over fresh candidates. They have also made representation (Annexure P-2) but no action has been taken. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case, directions are issued to consider the representation (Annexure P-2) and to give preference by considering their services with the respondent-department. 3. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider this writ petition as representation and take necessary action by taking into consideration the experience of the petitioner while considering their candidature for the post as advertised.
