ORDER : Heard both sides. 2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3. No counter is filed on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. 4. According to the petitioner, his appeal/complaint filed under Section 18 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 is pending on the file of the first respondent/Chief Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu State Information Commission, Chennai till date and hence, he has preferred the present writ petition praying for passing of an order by this Court in directing the first respondent/Chief Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu State Information Commission, Chennai to dispose of his appeal/complaint in S.A. No. 12727/B/2015, dated 18.03.2016, within a time to be determined by this Court. 5. Considering the fact that the petitioner's appeal/complaint dated 18.03.2016 is pending before the first respondent/ Chief Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu State Information Commission, Chennai, till this date, at this stage, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits and contents of the appeal/complaint of the petitioner, dated 18.03.2016, simpliciter, in the interest of Justice and Fair Play, directs the first respondent/ Chief Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu State Information Commission, Chennai, to dispose of the said appeal/complaint of the petitioner in S.A. No. 12727/B/2015, dated 18.03.2016, by passing a reasoned, speaking order on merits (of-course by providing necessary opportunity to the petitioner and others concerned, by following the principles of Natural Justice) within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is also required to lend his assistance and unstinted co-operation to the first respondent/Chief Information Commissioner, Tamil Nadu State Information Commission, Chennai so as to enable him to dispose of his appeal/complaint dated 18.03.2016. 6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
