ORDER : Heard both sides. 2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3. No counter is filed on behalf of the respondent. 4. According to the petitioners, their representations dated 24.06.2016 were addressed to the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, seeking for issuance of patta in respect of Survey No.684/2, measuring an extent of 0.68.0 Hectares, Survey No.683/2A, measuring an extent of 0.32.0 Hectares and Survey No.683/2C, measuring an extent of 0.01.0 Hectares of Iythamkattalai Village, Alangulam Taluk, Tirunelveli. 5. It is to be noted that the petitioners' father Vadivel Nadur had executed three separate gift deeds in favour of the petitioners on 20.04.2010 and from the date of the said gift deeds they are enjoying the properties and cultivating Banana Trees. It appears that representations were addressed to the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, regarding issuance of patta on 24.06.2016 directly as well as through post. But, their applications to the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk were sent and delivered on 27.06.2016. Now, the matter is pending before the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, without any disposal or progress, till date. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition praying for passing of an order by this Court. 6. Considering the fact that the petitioners' representations dated 24.06.2016, are pending before the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, without any disposal or progress, till this date, at this stage, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits and contents of the representations of the petitioners, dated 24.06.2016, simpliciter, in the interest of Justice and Fair Play, directs the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, to look into the representations of the petitioners dated 24.06.2016, within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, thereafter, the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, is directed to pass a reasoned, speaking order on merits in a dispassionate manner by affording necessary opportunity to the petitioners and others concerned, by adverting to the principles of Natural Justice, within a period of three weeks. In case, the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District, is in need of any copy of documents or copy of any records, then it is mandatory duty on the part of the petitioners to furnish the same to the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District, so as to enable him to dispose of their representations dated 24.06.2016, within a time determined by this Court. The petitioners are also required to render their assistance and unstinted co- operation to the respondent/Thasildar, Alangulam Taluk, in this regard. 7. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
