ORDER : Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner. 2. In view of the averments made by the First Respondent/The Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai at Para 9 of the Counter to the following effect: ''9. It is respectfully submitted that the averment of the Petitioner herein in paragraphs 6,7 and 8 as well as the Grounds paragraphs (I) to (vi) are repetitious, imaginary and devoid of truth, as it has been clearly stated in the Notification that the successful bidder can cut and remove Karuvela trees in S. No. 175 and in no place, it has been stated that the successful bidder should remove only 1100 carts loads and the term of reference is to uproot all the karuvela trees to protect the water body from environmental degradation as well as reduction in the ground water potential.........''. this Court is of the considered view that nothing survives for adjudication in the Writ Petition. 3. Recording the above said averments at Para 9 of the counter of the First Respondent/The Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai District, the Writ Petition stands closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
