ORDER : 1. Mr. S. Krishnan Nair, has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2015 regarding grant of notional promotion, on par with his junior and further to send revised pension proposals to him. 2. While the petitioner was working as Selection Grade Assistant in the Taluk Office, Srivaikundam, he was allowed to retire from his service subject to the disciplinary proceedings pending against him. Subsequently, the charges framed against the petitioner was disposed of, through G.O.(2D).No.27, Revenue Department, dated 20.01.2015. In other words, the charges framed in the year 2005 came to be dropped in the year 2015 by the respondents. 3. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that due to the disciplinary proceedings, his promotional avenue, namely, Deputy Tashildar as well as Tashildar, were deprived of and his juniors came to be promoted. Therefore, he prays this Court that at least notional promotion may be given on par with his junior T.V. Ramesh. 4. Mr. M. Murugan, learned Government Advocate submitted that reasonable time may be given to dispose of the representation of the petitioner. 5. In the light of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.12.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and dispose of the same, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
