JUDGMENT : AJIT SINGH, J. 1. Heard on admission. 2. This is an application for condonation of delay of 460 days in filing writ appeal against the order dated 2.8.2013 passed by the learned Single Judge of this High Court whereby he has allowed non-applicants WP (C) No. 3911/2010. 3. By order dated 2.8.2013 under challenge, the learned Single Judge has directed the applicants to consider within 4 months the case of non-applicant for promotion to the post of Chargeman (Electrical) (A-IV level) with effect from 1.1.2000 and also for consequential promotion. 4. Although the order was passed in the presence of counsel for applicants and the appeal is required to be filed in the same High Court building, the applicants did not show any due diligence in filing the appeal within reasonable time. The application clearly reveals that certified copy of the order was received by the applicants on 19.8.2013 and the same was forwarded to H.R. Department on 22.8.2013 for opinion etc., decision to file appeal was taken as late as on 21.10.2014 whereafter the appeal was filed on 5.11.2014. There is, thus, no “sufficient cause” to condone such a huge delay of 460 days in filing the appeal. The application is dismissed and in the result, the writ appeal is also dismissed.
