JUDGMENT : AJIT SINGH, J. This intra-court appeal is directed against the order dated 11.06.2015 passed by the learned Single Judge of this High Court in W.P. (C) No. 127 of 2015 whereby he has vacated the earlier stay order dated 29.01.2015. The appellant was elected as President of No. 10 Dakhin Saidpur Gaon Panchayat under Sonai Anchalik Panchayat, District-Cachar. He has suffered a resolution of No Confidence Motion. Aggrieved, the appellant has filed W.P. (C) No. 127 of 2015 which is pending. Earlier by an interim order dated 19.01.2015, the learned Single Judge stayed the resolution of No Confidence Motion, but later vide order dated 11.06.2015, vacated the stay. It is in this background, the appellant has filed the present appeal. In the appeal also by an interim order dated 4.2.2016 passed in I.A. No. 288 of 2016, the parties have been directed to maintain status-quo. During the course of hearing on I.A. No. 288 of 2016 which is an application for vacating of said order dated 4.2.2016, Mr. M. Nath, learned counsel for the appellant, instead of pressing the appeal on merit has prayed that learned Single Judge be requested to decide the writ petition itself on an early date. Having regard to the controversy involved, we find the prayer reasonable. We accordingly, dismiss the appeal as withdrawn with a request to the learned Single Judge to decide the writ petition on an early date, preferably within three months. In the result, the order dated 04.02.2016 directing the parties to maintain status quo also stands vacated. Registry to take steps for early listing of the matter.
