JUDGMENT : JASPAL SINGH, J. 1. Notice of motion. 2. At the asking of the Court, Mr. RPS Sidhu, AAG, Punjab accepts the notice on behalf of respondent-State. Copy of the petition be supplied to learned State counsel during the course of day. 3. By virtue of this criminal writ petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought for grant of six weeks parole on account of her ailing husband-Harpreet Singh @ Shambhu and to meet her family members. 4. The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that a representation dated August 29, 2016 (Annexure P-1) seeking parole was moved to Superintendent, Women Jail, Ludhiana, but despite the expiry of four weeks, no action has been taken so far. 5. Instant petition is disposed of with a direction to Superintendent, Women Jail, Ludhiana to consider the representation dated August 29, 2016 (Annexure P-1) and take an appropriate action for grant of parole within a period of five days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 6. Copy of this order be sent by FAX to the concerned authorities.
