ORDER : The contempt petition has been filed alleging that the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P. (MD) No. 13446 of 2012 dated 17.10.2012, directing the police to give police protection to the petitioner as well as his business, has not been complied with. 2. When the matter is called on 25.01.2016, it was reported by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner that the control room set up by the accused was removed recently by the police. Therefore, the matter is directed to be posted today for compliance of the order in entirety. 3. When the matter is called today, Mr. G. Prabhu Rajadurai, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the FIR has also been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.64 of 2016 dated 26.01.2016. Pursuant to the registration of the above said F.I.R, one Alagu @ Alagurajan, one of the cable operators, who had taken the signal from the petitioner, was arrested and the other accused are yet to be arrested. 4. In view of the action taken by the respondent police, it is appropriate to give the following directions to the respondents:- i) To arrest the remaining accused and conclude the investigation within a period of eight weeks and file final report; and ii) The respondent police is directed to continue to give police protection to the petitioner as well as his business. 5. With the above directions, the contempt petition is closed.
