ORDER : The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to issue patta in respect of Old S.No.878/1 Re-Survey T.S.No.1927 in Karaikudi Municipal Town, Karaikudi to the petitioner on the basis of the representation dated 23.11.2015 and to pass such order and further orders as this Court may deem fit and proper. 2. Mr. M. Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. 3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner dated 23.11.2015 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible. 6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
