P. Sampath v. Commissioner of Police

2016-02-10

M.JAICHANDREN, S.NAGAMUTHU

body2016
ORDER : M.JAICHANDREN, J. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the third respondent to produce the detenue, namely, Muthulakshmi, aged 30 years, before this Court and to hand over the custody of the detenue to the petitioner. 2. The petitioner is the father of the detenue. At this stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents, had placed before this Court a letter written by the detenue, dated 25.1.2016, addressed to the third respondent stating that she has gone away on her own volition and that she has certain misunderstanding with her husband. In such circumstances, we find no reason to grant the relief, as prayed for by the petitioner, in the present Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
