ORDER : The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to renew and issue passport to the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 07.11.2014. 2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondent. 3. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner has fairly submitted that the writ petition is not maintainable, because he is not eligible to apply. He further submits that he has completed five years period of sentence only. 4. Hence, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh application and if it is able to satisfy the required conditions, the respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. 5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petition is also closed.
