JUDGMENT : Dipankar Datta, J. 1. Mr. Chanda, learned Additional Solicitor General representing the Union of India has placed for consideration of this Bench a Division Bench decision of the Allahabad High Court reported in MANU/UP/2164/2012 (Vivek Anand Vs. Life Insurance Corporation of India and Others), to contend that the issues raised in these writ petitions have been answered. 2. Mr. Majumder, learned advocate for the Life Insurance Corporation of India has also placed for consideration of this Bench a Division Bench decision of the Kerala High Court reported in CDJ 2015 Ker HC 700 (Life Insurance Corporation of India, Chennai Vs. Sonia Bhaskar & Another) to contend to the same effect. 3. Mr. Sen, Mr. Saha Roy and Mr. Maity, learned advocates representing the respective petitioners are taken aback by these decisions. They pray for time to look into the same. Additionally, it has been submitted by them that the Hon’ble Supreme Court is in seisin of a special leave petition, which has been carried from a judgment and order of the Delhi High Court dismissing the claim of the employee/development officer and that is fixed for hearing on 19th September, 2016. They have prayed for adjournment of hearing till such time the Hon’ble Supreme Court decides the special leave petition. 4. In view of the fact that the Hon’ble Supreme Court is in seisin of a similar issue, it would be proper to await its decision. 5. In that view of the matter, hearing of these writ petitions stands adjourned. Put up the same on 7th November, 2016 under the heading ‘For Hearing’, marked ‘top’. 6. If any interim order is in operation in respect of any of the aforesaid writ petitions, the same shall continue till 30th November, 2016 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. 7. Photocopy of this order, duly countersigned by the Assistant Court Officer, shall be retained with the records of all other writ petitions except W. P. No. 27474 (W) of 2015.
