ORDER : M.JAICHANDREN, J. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondent to produce the body of the detenu, namely, Shankar, son of Narayanan, aged about 32 years, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2. The petitioner is the elder brother of the detenu. The detenu has been missing from 14.5.2015. The petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent Police, on 18.5.2015, and it had been registered, in crime No.254 of 2015, as a man missing case. However, as the respondent had not taken sufficient steps to trace the detenu, the petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition before this Court. 3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent had submitted that sufficient steps had been taken to trace the detenu, who is a deaf and dumb person. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent, no further orders are necessary in the Habeas Corpus Petition, at this stage. However, the respondent Police is directed to continue with the investigation to trace the detenu and to take necessary steps, in accordance with law. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
