ORDER : The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's patta application dated 17.12.2013 for granting patta in Survey No.97/2 measuring an extent of 10 1/3 cents in the Mudachikadu Village, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District in favour of me and other legal heirs of the petitioner's father within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 2. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. 3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner dated 17.12.2013 on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
