JUDGMENT K.M. Joseph, C.J. (Oral) Petitioners have approached this Court seeking police protection with the allegations that there is threat to them from respondent nos. 4 to 7. 2. We have heard Mr. Piyush Garg, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and Mr. Nandan Arya, Deputy Advocate General appearing on behalf of the State/respondent nos. 1 to 3. Though served, there is no appearance on behalf of the party respondents. 3. We have already passed an interim order on 02.08.2016 directing respondent nos. 2 and 3 to provide protection to the petitioners. 4. In the circumstances of the case, we dispose of this writ petition as follows: If the petitioners complain of any threat to them from respondent nos. 4 to 7 before respondent no. 2, then respondent no. 2 will look into the matter and conduct an enquiry either by himself or through respondent no. 3 and, if the threat is found genuine, he will provide protection to the petitioners as against respondent nos. 4 to 7, as and when necessary.
