JUDGMENT K.M. Joseph, C.J. (Oral) Petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking police protection. 2. Case of the petitioners, in brief, is as follows: Petitioner no.1 belongs to Muslim religion. She fell in love with petitioner no. 2. Petitioner no. 1 accepted Hindu religion by way of conversion and subsequently, they were married. This has given rise of threat from party respondents. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Addl. Advocate General for the State. Though served, there is no appearance for respondents no. 3, 4 and 5. 3. We have already passed the interim order. In the circumstances of the case, we dispose of the writ petition as follows: If petitioners complain to respondent no. 1 about any threat from respondents no. 3, 4 and 5, he will make inquiry either by himself or through respondent no. 2 and if he finds allegations of the petitioners genuine, he will provide protection to the petitioners as against respondents no. 3, 4 and 5, as and when required.
