body2016
JUDGMENT An earlier public interest litigation filed by the petitioner was dismissed with the following order: "Though the petition is ostensibly filed in the public interest, the petitioner has not made due disclosure as required by sub-rule (3A) of Rule 1 of Chapter XXII of the Allahabad High Court Rules, 1952 which was amended in view of the judgement of the Supreme Court in State of Uttaranchal vs. Balwant Singh Chaufal and others, reported in 2010 AIR SCW 1029. Hence, we decline to entertain the petition since we are not satisfied in regard to the bona fides and credentials of the petitioner. In any event, the petitioner who is a member of the Nagar Palika Khaga is seeking an inquiry in respect of the conduct of the Chairman of Nagar Palika, Khaga. Sufficient remedies are available under the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act 1916. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs." 2. Again, no valid disclosure has been made as required by sub-rule (3A) of Rule 1 of Chapter XXII of the Allahabad High Court Rules, 1952 beyond stating that the petitioner is a public spirited person and that he had purchased fire wood for local residents. 3. The petition is accordingly dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
