ORDER : This petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband for their life and limb considering the representation of the petitioner dated 18.02.2016. 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State. 3. It is seen that this petitioner fell in love with one Ramachandra Prabhu, who belongs to a different community and got married on 31.01.2016 at Sri Ayyanar Temple, Vedasandur and it is alleged that the petitioner's uncle / 3rd respondent herein is causing disturbance to their life. 4. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Lata Singh vs. State of U.P. & Another, reported in (2006) 5 SCC 475 , has stated that the State should encourage the inter caste marriage. 5. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Dindigul District and present a complaint and on receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and sufficient protection be afforded to the petitioner and her husband. With the above direction, this Criminal Original petition is closed.
