Ajit Singh; CJ.:-- Mr. BD Konwar, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. R Saloi, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr. Gunjan Sarma, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. In the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, the grievance of the petitioner is that the Station House Officer of Police Station Gorchuk, District Kamrup (Metro) is unnecessarily harassing him in connection with a land dispute matter. Pursuant to our direction, Ananta Das, Station House Officer of Police Station Gorchuk has appeared in person. According to Ananta Das, on receiving a complaint against the petitioner regarding land grabbing, he did summon him to come with original documents and on being satisfied with the same, he has already recommended the matter for closure vide FR No. 139 of 2016 on 30.5.2016. In view of the aforesaid statement of Ananta Das, since complaint filed against the petitioner has been recommended for closure by him, we find no justification to proceed further in the matter. The petition stands finally disposed of.
