JUDGMENT AND ORDER : 1. Heard Mr. Phungyo Zinkhai, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Ms. Ch. Sundari, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents. 2. In this writ petition, 4 (four) petitioners claimed that they were appointed as Assistant Primary Teachers in different schools under the Government of Manipur by 3 (three) different vide Government orders being No. 3/30/98-ED(EL)(H)1, No. 3/30/98- ED(EL)(H)1, No. 3/32/97-ED(EL)(H) and No. 3/32/97-ED(EL)(H) issued by the Director of Education (S), Government of Manipur:- (i) on 02.02.1999 for Shri Damthuilung Kamsong Philip, petitioner No. 1, (ii) on 22.01.1999 for Shri Sinreplung Kamei, petitioner No. 2 , (iii) on 22.01.1999 for Shri K. Majasing, petitioner No. 3 and (iv) on 22.01.1999 for Ms. P. Gaithonliu, petitioner No. 4 respectively. Thereafter, their services were extended from time to time. The last extension order issued was vide the Department of Education (S), Government of Manipur being No. 12(HC)/15/2012-SE(S), dated 19.09.2015. By this order, their services were extended from 05.05.2007 to 31.08.2010. 3. It is submitted at Bar by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that though the services of the petitioners have not been extended thereafter, they continued to be in service till today as their services were required by the authorities. Learned counsel drew my attention to duty certificates issued by the respective Headmasters of the schools in which the petitioners are stated to be in service and are annexed in the petition as Annexures, A/6, A/7 and A/8 in support of his submission. The certificates show that the petitioners have continued in service in their respective post at least till the dates on which these certificates were issued i.e. (i) for Shri Damthuilung Kamsong Philip, petitioner No. 1 till 18.08.2015, (ii) for Shri Sinreplung Kamei, petitioner No. 2 till 18.08.2015, (iii) for Shri K. Majasing, petitioner No. 3 till 15.06.2015 and (iv) for Ms. P. Gaithonliu, petitioner No. 4 till 15.06.2015. 4. In view of the above stated facts, this petition is disposed of with a direction that the petitioners be paid their pay and allowances for the period from 01.09.2010 till the time they are in service within a period of 3 (three) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, whether they have continued to be in service shall be verified by the authorities. With this, writ petition stands disposed.
