JUDGMENT Yashwant Varma,J. This special appeal has been filed by the second petitioner (Anil Yadav) to the writ proceedings before the learned Single Judge whose claim for regularization has been rejected by the impugned judgment and order of the learned Single Judge. 2. The learned Single Judge has held that the claim of the appellant is not shown to be covered by any provision of law entitling him to be regularized. The Uttar Pradesh Regularization of Daily Wages Appointments on Group 'D' Posts Rules, 2001 contemplate regularization of a person who was appointed on daily wages basis on a Group 'D' post in Government service before 29 June 1991 and is continuing in service as such on the date of commencement of the Rules. Admittedly, the appellant did not fulfill these conditions. Regularization could only be granted in accordance with the rules as prescribed. Hence, we find no merit in the special appeal. 3. The special appeal is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
