ORDER : This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant appropriate permission and adequate police protection to celebrate the “Mattu Pongal Vizha Maavu Padayal Vizha and Annadanam Festival” on 22.02.2016 in Sri Periyanatchi Amman Temple situates in Valayappatti Ponnamarvahi Taluk Pudukkottai District on the eve of Masi Festival based on the petitioner’s representation dated 7.02.2016 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Honourable Court. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent police have registered a case in Crime Nos.39 & 40 of 2016 under Section 107 Cr.P.C. on 18.02.2016. He has further submitted that the Revenue Divisional Officer has also initiated proceedings under Section 111 Cr.P.C. 3. Under such circumstances, this Writ Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to take part in the aforesaid proceedings and work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No Costs.
