ORDER : These petitions have been filed to direct the learned District and Sessions Judge, Kanyakumari District to expedite the trial in Crl.Rev.No.23 of 2014 and C.A.No.36 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned District and Sessions Judge, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District. 2. By order dated 03.02.2016, this Court had called for a report from the learned District and Sessions Judge, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District. Learned District and Sessions Judge, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District has now sent a report dated 25.02.2016, wherein it has been stated as follows: “I submit that the Order of the Hon'ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) Nos.1862 & 1863/2016 was not received in this court. Only on fax message dated 08.02.2016, it was brought to my notice the Crl.Revision No.23/2014 & Crl.A.No.36/2014. I am going through the records regarding the disposals. Due to the pressure of work on the administrative side and the cases that are attended on Sessions Cases and the fact that I was on training at the National Judicial Academy from 19.02.2016 till 21.02.2016. I returned and joined duty on23.02.2016. I am perusing the same for disposal. Since already part heard matters, ripe for disposals are to be disposed off, I humbly submit the Hon'ble High Court that I will dispose it off at the earliest before the end of March 2016.” 3. In view of the above, this Court directs learned District and Sessions Judge, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District to expedite the trial of cases in Crl.Rev.No.23 of 2014 and C.A.No.36 of 2014 and complete the same on or before 30.04.2016 and send a report to this Court. If the accused is not co-operating in disposal of the cases, learned District and Sessions Judge, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District is at liberty to cancel the bail and remand him to custody. With the above direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
