ORDER : This is a writ petition in the nature of public interest pointing out that there have been illegal encroachments by unauthorized vendors at the subway at Sangam theatre to BMTC bus stand and BMTC bus stand to Bengaluru City railway station. 2. It is also alleged that the adjoining pavements (footpaths) are, also, encroached by unauthorized vendors. 3. Mr. H. Venkatesh Dodderi, learned Additional Government Advocate, appears for respondent nos.4 and 5 and informs that some of the unauthorized encroachers have been evicted and steps have been taken to remove the rest of them. We are, also, informed that criminal cases have been registered for unauthorized encroachment. 4. We feel that justice will be sub-served by disposing of the writ petition, directing the authorities to take all possible steps for evicting illegal encroachments from those places as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months. 5. The writ petition stands disposed of. 6. We make no order as to costs.
