Mr. Alhajj Inam Uddin, learned counsel for the applicant. Mr. Kumud Konwar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the respondent. This is an application under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of bail on behalf of the applicant- Nurul Islam. The applicant has been arrested on 5.9.2016 for an offence under Section 407 of the Indian Penal Code registered at Police Station Changsari vide Case No. 214 of 2016. According to the prosecution case, the applicant has misappropriated Nestle products worth Rs.15 lakh. On due consideration of the fact that the applicant is in jail since 5.9.2016, I deem it proper to grant bail to him. It is, accordingly, directed that he be released on bail in connection with the aforesaid case on his furnishing a bail bond of Rs.25,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Rangia. The bail application is allowed.
