JUDGMENT : Ajit Singh, J. 1. Heard on I.A. No.1024 of 2015, which is an application for bail and suspension of sentence on behalf of applicant – Sahab Uddin Laskar. 2. According to the prosecution case, applicant along with one co-accused had abducted PW-2 Md. Mirajul Haque Laskar for ransom. But, before the demand for ransom could actually be made, PW-2 managed to run away from the custody of applicant. 3. It is argued on behalf of applicant that he is innocent and has been falsely implicated. It has also been argued that false allegation has been made on account of land dispute. 4. On due consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that applicant is in jail since last more than one year, we deem it proper to grant bail to him. We, accordingly, direct that if he furnishes a solvent surety in the sum of Rs.20,000/- and executes a personal bond in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Additional Sessions Judge, Cachar at Silchar, the execution of sentence passed against him shall remain suspended and he shall be released on bail. 5. The interlocutory application is allowed.
