JUDGMENT : AMOL RATTAN SINGH, J. 1. Pursuant to the order dated 05.04.2017, though no affidavit had been required to be filed, however, yet another affidavit, of Dr. Narinder Singh, Civil Surgeon, Moga, has been filed in Court today by learned State counsel, in which it is stated, in effect, that because the MLR had been uploaded onto the computer by submitting the user name and password of Dr. Saurabh Jain, who had conducted the medico legal examination on the complainant Sukhpreet Singh, and since Dr. Saurabh Jain is now posted at Dudhike, the computer printout of the medico legal report in respect of the examination conducted at Civil Hospital, Moga, still came out showing it would have been conducted at CH Dhudike. 2. Suffice to say, that the aforesaid reasoning does not sound even vaguely rational but on the contention of learned State counsel that it is actually a software problem, the Director General Health Services Punjab/Additional Chief Secretary Heath, Punjab, is directed to ensure that the said software problem is sorted out, if it exists in the first place. This would be especially so as the report in question and other such reports are medico legal report and obviously, the outcome of cases very often depends on such reports. 3. Keeping in view the entire circumstances of the case, the order dated 10.08.2016 is made absolute. The petition is disposed of accordingly. 4. A copy of this order be given to learned State counsel under the signatures of the Special Secretary of this Court.
