ORDER : Mr. Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia, J. 1. Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that the petitioner be permitted to change the subject in respect of the examination "Senior Teacher Competitive Exam Grade II 2016." 2. Briefly stated petitioner in pursuance of advertisement issued by Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer, Rajasthan, applied for post of senior teacher and had to undertake written competitive examination called "Senior Teacher Competitive Exam Grade II 2016". 3. Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that due to oversight and inadvertence petitioner had exercised subject option for the second paper, as English. 4. Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is having Hindi as a teaching subject in B.Ed. The petitioner was also having Hindi as a optional subject in the B.A. It is submitted that due to inadvertence and bona fide mistake, while clicking appropriate columns, petitioner had wrongly clicked English subject instead of Hindi. 5. Mr. M.F. Baig, counsel for the respondent, has submitted that as per the circular, petitioner could correct option in respect of subject on or before 15.09.2016. 6. Counsel for the respondents has further submitted that tomorrow examination is scheduled to be held and therefore, at this juncture correction ought not to be permitted. 7. After hearing counsel for the petitioner, this court is of the view that since petitioner has approached this court before commencement of the examination and petitioner had also represented to the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Ajmer, Rajasthan earlier thereto, the petitioner can be permitted to correct the bona fide mistake, which had occurred due to inadvertence. 8. Consequently, present writ petition is allowed and respondent is directed to carry the correction in the record and admit card of the petitioner. 9. Mr. M.F. Baig, counsel for the respondent, undertakes to inform the respondent and concerned Superintendent of Examination to permit petitioner to undertake paper in the Hindi subject in respect of "Senior Teacher Competitive Exam Grade II 2016" 10. Copy of this order be handed over to Mr. M.F. Baig, counsel for the respondent, under the seal and signature of Court Master for onward transmission and necessary compliance.
