JUDGMENT : GURMIT RAM, J. This petition has been filed for grant of emergency parole of seven days to the petitioner-Kiran Pal in order to enable him to attend the marriage of his nephew namely Manoj under the provisions of Section 3(1) (b) of Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1988. 2. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that at present petitioner is undergoing imprisonment for two years in criminal case bearing FIR No. 121 dated 06.07.2005 under Section 409 of the IPC, registered at Police Station GRP, Ambala. 3. Learned State counsel stated that he has received telephonic information from police of Police Station Saha, District Ambala that the marriage of nephew of the petitioner namely Manoj is to be solemnized on 17/18.01.2017. The police has shown no objection in granting the benefit of emergency parole of seven days to the petitioner for the purpose abovementioned. It is also contended that petitioner being the eldest member of the family, his presence is required at the time of solemnization of abovesaid marriage of his nephew. 4. Consequently, the petitioner is allowed to be released on emergency parole on his furnishing bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Superintendent Central Jail, Ambala for a period of seven days commencing from the date of his furnishing bail bonds and surety bonds. 5. It is also made clear that Superintendent, Central Jail, Amabla will inform the petitioner regarding the date on which petitioner is to surrender on the expiry of his said parole period. 6. This petition stands disposed of accordingly. 7. Copy of this order be supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner under the signatures of the Reader of this Bench.
