ORDER : These writ petitions are filed for certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the first respondent pertaining to the impugned G.O (P).No.482 dated 24.11.2011 and quash the same. 2. The lands belonging to the petitioners were taken by the respondents for development. As there was no progress in the same and as lands were not put to any use, the petitioners approached the respondents and explained their difficulties. The 3rd and 4th respondents sent a proposal to the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders. On 24.11.2011, the first respondent passed G.O (P).No.482 which is impugned now rejecting the proposal put forth by the owners of the lands including the petitioner. Challenging the said Government Order, the said writ petitions have been filed. 3. The impugned order passed by the 1st respondent is contrary to the recommendations sent by the 3rd and 4th respondents. Further an approval was given without permission from the 2nd respondent and the same was cancelled without getting technical advises from the Deputy Director of Town and Country Planning. Further, lay-out was developed in the year 2000. None of the plots were sold and the lands were also not used for any other purposes because of the lay out for more than 12 years. However, the request of the petitioners were turned down. 4. It is now stated that pending the petition, G.O(P).No.14, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 23.01.2017 was issued by Government Principal Secretary. The relevant portion of the said Government Order is as follows: xxxxxx 5. In view of the above Government Order which cancels the impugned order, nothing survives in the writ petition for adjudication. 6. The writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
