JUDGMENT : 1. Heard Sri Ambrish Chatterji, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri K.R. Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2. The petitioner, who is a Fire Station Second Officer, is seeking quashing of the order dated 02.01.2017 whereby he has been transferred from District Amroha to District Bijnor as well as communication order dated 03.01.2017. 3. In paragraph 6 of the writ petition, it is stated that the petitioner is going to retire only in five months and therefore in view of the transfer policy he may not be transferred when only 5 months are left for his retirement. 4. No useful purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending. 5. This writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties with a direction to the respondent no.2, Director General, Fire Service, U.P. Fire Services Headquarters, Lucknow to examine the matter in the light of the Government Circular and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date a certified copy of this order is received in his office.
