JUDGMENT : Heard Mr. M. Saikia, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. R. Nath, learned engaged counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. B. Bhuyan, learned Standing Counsel, PWD, appearing for the official respondents. 2. This writ petition is filed with a prayer for issuance of a direction to make payment of the outstanding contractual bills of the petitioner amounting to Rs.1,29,405/- which amount is yet to be paid by the department against contractual works executed by the petitioner. Ms. Bhuyan, learned Standing Counsel, submits that part-payment of the petitioner’s dues have already been made and the balance is under process. 3. In the case of Tamsher Ali and ors. Vs. State of Assam and ors. reported in 2008 (4) GLT 1 a Full Bench of this Court had already laid down guidelines for dealing with claims of this nature where the contractual dues of the genuine contractors have remained unpaid. Following the decision of the Full Bench, as noted above, this writ petition is also disposed of with a direction to the respondents to verify the claim of the petitioner and thereafter make due payment in respect thereof as per the guidelines laid down in the case of Tamsher Ali (supra).
