JUDGMENT Mr. H.S. Madaan, J.:- This petition for regular bail has been filed by Paramjit Singh @ Jeeta – accused in FIR No.82 dated 27.3.2017 for offence under Section 22 of NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Nakodar Sadar, Jalandhar Rural. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for granting interim bail to the petitioner for the reason that the report from the Chemical Examiner, Punjab (Mohali) has not been received so far. 3. Notice of the petition was given to the State of Punjab. Mr.K.S. Aulakh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab representing the State on instructions from HC Mandeep Singh from Police Station City, Nakodar has conceded this fact that such report from the office of Chemical Examiner, Punjab (Mohali) is still awaited. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner pressed into service a Division Bench authority passed by this Court i.e. Inderjeet Singh @ Laddi and others Versus State of Punjab, [2014(4) Law Herald (P&H) 3560 (DB)] : 2015(1) Crimes 308 in support of his contention that in such an eventuality interim bail is to be granted to the accused. 5. Under the circumstances, keeping in view the ratio of the authority above mentioned, the petition in question is disposed of directing that the petitioner be released on interim bail, subject to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Jalandhar. It is clarified that the interim bail will come to an end the moment report from Chemical Examiner, Punjab is received in the Court and he would be liable to surrender in the Court forthwith. 6. In that way, the present petition is disposed of accordingly.
