ORDER : ANANT S. DAVE, J. Heard learned counsels for the parties. 2. In this petition the petitioners, who are permanent employees and serving as Security Staff Group ‘C’ in the office of respondent No. 2, have ventilated their grievance qua disparity in the pay scale/grade pay with that of different SEZs. like Noida SEZ, KASEZ, etc. though all such SEZs are under respondent No. 1. The petitioners have prayed to direct the respondent No. 1 to consider and take decision on the proposal of the respondent No. 2 so as to remove the disparity in pay scale, grade, etc. 3. Pursuant to the notice issued by this Court on 11.11.2016, Mr. Kshitij Amin, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, produced on record copy of communication dated 19.01.2017 received from the office of the Development Commissioner, Kandla Special Economic Zone under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Gandhidham-Kutch, stating in paras 3 and 4 as under: “03. It has been found that there is anomaly in the pay scales of Security Guards across all Zones and it has been decided that the mater will be taken up by Department of Commerce to streamline the pay scales of Security Guard across all zones. The proposal would involve consultation with other Ministries Department of the Government of India which would take some time. 04. In view of above, you are requested to place the facts of the case before the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat at Ahmedabad and to pray for disposing of the case in view of reexamination being undertaken by Ministry of Commerce & Industry for pay scale of Security Guard. Alternatively Hon'ble High Court may be requested for some more time as the said proposal would involve consultation with other Ministries Departments of Government of India”. 4. Considering the above communication and nature of subject writ petition in which grievances are raised about parity of the pay scale, grade, etc. by the petitioners, we hope that the issue be decided by the authority within a period of 12 weeks from today and the petitioners be informed about the outcome of such decision. 5. With the aforesaid, this petition stands disposed of. Notice discharged. No costs.
