In this petition, which is filed by way of Public Interest Litigation, the petitioner has stated that the respondent Nos. 5 and 6 are illegally mining in the gaucher land. The Geologist of Porbandar has filed affidavit-in-reply on behalf of the respondent Nos. 2 and 3, which is also placed on record along with other material, showing issuance of show cause notices to the respondent Nos. 5 and 6 for recovery of value of illegally mined mineral. Show cause notices are issued for the huge amounts. This affidavit-in-reply is filed in the month of March, 2017. 2. Further affidavit to be filed by the Geologist, indicating further steps taken by the respondents consequent to the show cause notices. When the orders are passed, such orders to be placed on record along with the further affidavit to be filed by the next date of hearing. Stand over to 22nd November, 2017.
