ORDER : This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying this Court to call for the records in Crime No.116 of 2017 on the file of the 1st respondent and quash the same as against the petitioner herein. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3. The learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that he has not involved in the offence alleged against him. Further, he would state that the Petitioner was assaulted but unfortunately, a false case was registered against him. 4. The contention of the Petitioner is a matter of evidence and the same can be considered only during investigation. Therefore, it is too early to quash the FIR, when the complaint itself specifically refers to a cognizable offence. The truth would be known only after the investigation is completed. 5. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed.
