ORDER : This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying this Court to direct the Ist Additional District Judge (Special Court for PCR Cases), Trichy, to accept the surrender of this Petitioner in connection with Crime No.721 of 2017, pending on the file of the second respondent and to pass orders on the same day in his bail application on merits. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3. It is seen that the second respondent Police has registered a case against the Petitioner and 21 others for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 341, 147, 148, 302 IPC r/w Section 3(1)(r)(s) and 3(2)(v) of SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Amendment Act. 4. Having regard to the charges against the Petitioner, it is not desirable to allow this Petition. FIR in Crime No.721 of 2017 registered against the Petitioner reveals that there are serious charges against the Petitioner. In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to allow this Criminal Original Petition and accordingly, the same stands dismissed.
