ORDER : 1. The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking direction to the respondent to file final report in F.I.R.No.2/AC/2016/CC II, which is pending on the file of the respondent. 2. On an earlier occasion, this petitioner has filed a petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to register a complaint before this Court in Crl.O.P.No.1512 of 2016, wherein this Court by an order dated 19.08.2016 has closed the petition stating that the respondent had submitted that they have started the preliminary investigation. Pursuant to the order of this Court, F.I.R.No.2/AC/2016/CC II was registered on 14.11.2016. However, even after completion of one year, the respondent has not filed the final report. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition seeking for a direction to the respondent to file the final report within a time frame. 3. Heard Both sides. 4. Admittedly, the petitioner has given complaint on 01.01.2016 and the officer was allowed to retire from service on 31.01.2016. Subsequently, the petitioner filed a case in Crl.O.P.No.1512 of 2016 before this Court, wherein by an order dated 19.08.2016 has closed the petition stating that the respondent had already started the preliminary investigation. Pursuant to the order of this Court, F.I.R was registered on 14.11.2016, but so far final report has not been filed by the respondents. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances and the gravity of the offence, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and file the final report preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
