ORDER : 1. This Criminal Original petition is filed by the petitioner for a direction to direct the 2nd respondent police to expedite the investigation to secure the offending vehicle in Crime No.334 of 2016 dated 18.10.2016. 2. Heard Mr. S.Deenadhayalan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. K. Anbarasan learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents. 3. It appears that at the time of registration of the case in Crime No.334/2016, for the offences under Section 304-A of IPC, the respondent police has no information about the registration number of the vehicle, involved in the accident. However, it is admitted now that the petitioner has furnished the registration number of vehicle viz., the one which caused the accident. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions would submit that the respondent police will be able to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months. 5. Considering the request of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No. 334 of 2016, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
