body2017
JUDGMENT : DINESH MEHTA, J. 1. Mr. B.S Tanwar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's application, seeking compassionate appointment under the Rajasthan Compassionate Appointment of Dependants of deceased Government Servant Rules, 1996, is pending consideration before the respondents. 2. He pointed out that petitioner's counsel had received a communication dated 21.11.2016 sent by the Department of Deputy Forest Conservator, Bhilwara, whereby it was informed that after enquiry into the matter and after verification of the facts stated in the affidavit, needful would be done. 3. Counsel for the petitioner showing concern about the unwarranted delay has submitted that more than one year has elapsed, yet the respondents have not done anything and petitioner's application seeking compassionate appointment is lying pending. 4. In view of above, without entering into the question of petitioner's candidature and entitlement, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to decide the petitioner's candidature for grant of compassionate appointment, under the Rules of 1996, within a period of two months from today. 5. The direction to decide the petitioner's candidature for grant of compassionate appointment expeditiously has been issued only with a view to ensure expeditious redressal of his grievance and the same may not be construed as a direction to decide the petitioner's candidature for grant of compassionate appointment in a particular manner. 6. The writ petition is disposed of.
