JUDGMENT : AMOL RATTAN SINGH, J. 1. In this petition, the petitioner is seeking that she be called for an interview in the selection process for appointment to the post of a Staff Nurse, even though she could not appear for scrutiny of documents in June 2017, 06.07.2017 and 03.08.2017, as she had delivered a child on 19.06.2017, whom obviously she continued to nurse for some time thereafter. 2. Learned counsel further submits that as a matter of fact, against the 91 posts advertised in the Economically Backward Persons in the General category, only 71 persons were found eligible and have been called for interviews. 3. Mr.Pandit, learned Addl. Advocate General, on the other hand submits that the petitioner never having come for scrutiny of documents even in the month of August, when at that time the child was 1 ½ months old, does not have any right to be interviewed at this stage even in the aforesaid circumstances. 4. However, in rebuttal learned counsel for the petitioner points to a representation shown to be dated 03.07.2017 (Annexure P-10) and thereafter a representation dated 08.08.2017, shown to be posted on 14.08.2017, Annexure P-11 explaining her circumstances. It is also contended that she had gone to the Commission personally but her representation not having been received, she had posted it. 5. That being so, and considering that only 71 persons have been called for an interview against 91 posts advertised, I see no reason why this petition should not be allowed in the said circumstances. 6. Consequently, this petition is allowed and the petitioner, if otherwise eligible to be considered for the post of a Staff Nurse, would be interviewed by the respondents for the post in question. 7. The said directions be carried out within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
