JUDGMENT Mr. T.P.S. Mann, J. (Oral):- Prayer made in the petition filed by convict-Kuldeep Singh is for his release on emergency parole so as to solemnize the marriage of Harjinder Singh, his real brother’s son on 25.11.2017. 2. According to the petitioner, he has brought up Harjinder Singh since his childhood as his son as Harjinder Singh’s father was living at some other place. Further, said Harjinder Singh is getting married on 25.11.2017 and as the petitioner has been looking after him as his own son, he may be released on parole. 3. Upon notice, reply has been filed by Sh. Balkar Singh Bhullar, Superintendent, Central Jail, Faridkot wherein it is stated that the factum of Harjinder Singh getting married on 26.11.2017 and his shagun ceremony to be held on 25.11.2017 stands duly verified. It has also been mentioned that the petitioner was released on parole for a period of six weeks on 6.9.2017 and on expiry of the said parole, he had surrendered back in jail on 19.10.2017, i.e. in time. 4. After hearing learned counsel for the parties, we find that the petitioner deserves to be released on interim parole so as to enable him to solemnize the marriage of his nephew Harjinder Singh whom he had been treating as his son ever since his childhood. 5. Resultantly, the petition is accepted. The petitioner be released on emergency parole from 23.11.2017 uptil 28.11.2017 subject to his furnishing appropriate bonds to the satisfaction of the District Magistrate, Faridkot and on the expiry of the said parole, he shall surrender before the jail authorities on 29.11.2017 at 11.00 a.m.
